On 5th September, Sayantan Sarkar launched his latest collection “Live & Let Fly collection” which was attended by the adorable children from Hope Kolkata Foundation and the three lovely ladies of repute - Alokananda Roy, Nilanjana Chakraborty and Ramanjeet Kaur. Sayantan Sarkar exclusively designed “Kokeshi doll printed dress” for the HOPE children at the unveiling of LFW Winter Festive collection in Kolkata store Avoire. Eat4StreetKids - Initiated by The Astor Hotel & The Hope Foundation

"On 14th July 2014, renowned people of Kolkata have joined thier hands to support the cause and the event "Eat4StreetKids" at The Astor Hotel. Famous artist painter Mr Wasim Kapoor children's handprint in canvas into masterpiece work artwork with his colours. Emami Frank Ross ltd purchased the art and donated Four lakhs to the organization.

Sangeeta Bajoria a volunteer of Hope. She comes and teaches English regularly in protection home and in the trainees from lifeskill. She shared the joy buy getting 80 new Diwali dress to the children in one of our girls home. She individual took the measurement of each child, bought clothes and handed over the dress to each child. We are very proud of her.

Geeta Venkadakrishnan, Director of Hope Kolkata Foundation has received Rashtriya Pragati Award from All India Business Development Association For Excellence in Academic, NCC and Field of Community Service / Extension Activities. This award was given on the Occasion of National Seminar on "Individual Achievements & National Development" Monday 22nd September, 2014 at New Delhi.

South City International School had organized the School Immersion Programme with the Students from Ireland on 17th February’14. There are 72 students from Ireland. The SCIS students started the programme at 10.00am with a warm welcome to their Irish friends.The theme of the programme was “Buddy system”. The programme held at SCIS Auditorium with a welcome song, by the junior school students, followed by welcome speech by the Principal, Mr. John Bagul.

Mr. Sauraswar Sen & Mrs Shilpi Sen visited our Bekind Boys Home on 18.01.2014 ie Saturday to celebrate their 1st Wedding Anniversary with our Hope children.The couple visited with their mother & sister.Dipannita Dasgupta, Resource Development & Event Cordinator of Hope Kolkata Foundation, introduced the family with the boys & also brief them about the projects of The Hope Foundation.After an introductory session, the boys presented a dance performance & it was so good that the couple also started matching their steps with the music.There was a cake cutting ceremony followed by yummy chicken biriyani treat for the Bekind Boys.The boys wished their uncle & aunty “Happy Anniversary” with a handmade greeting card & a flower bouquet.The couple was overwhelmed with joy & happiness.Mrs Shilpi Sen said that this was the best day as well as best Anniversary gift in their life.The boys had really made their Special day more Special.

NATHAN KOBLINTZ (Grant Manager) and RANJAN ALLES (Advisor) from Porticus visited and interacted with community video producers and community health volunteers in Ramnagar Area. They were very impressed to see the enthusiasm among community producers. Ranjan visited Ramnagar and appreciated the various communication tools used for awareness generation and strong advocacy work done by HOPE Health Project Staff.

Young Indians along with Lions International have taken the wonderful initiative on the auspicious occasion of Swami Vivekanada’s birthday on 12th January, Sunday, 2014 of having an awareness Campaign throughout the Kolkata City on a Tram ride with the theme "Child Empowerment for a Better India". Geeta Venkadakrishnan, Director of Hope Kolkata Foundation along with Rosy Roy, Resource Generation Officer of The Hope Foundation, have participated in the event along with 30 boys and girls from Kasba Girl’s Home and Tollygunge Boy’s Home with the Protection Home coordinators.

Maalika Himatsingka, the lead of Young Indian of CII is leading the National Volunteer Week Launching - India @75 initiative from 12th January to 18th January '2014. Our India’s President is also leading it in New Delhi during this time. The Hope Foundation is also one of the main organization which is now tied up with National Volunteer Week Launching - India @75 initiative. The tram was well decorated with balloons. The tram trip started from Esplanade at around 10.30 in the morning and it travelled all long North Kolkata via Shyambazar, Rabindra Sarani to Esplanade then finally ended in the Tollygunge Tram depot at around 3 p.m. Ms Ms.Geeta Venkadakrishnan provided a brief of Hope Foundation’s work to Young Indian team members. Rabindra Tatia, Chair of Young Indians along with the Team of The Hope Foundation conducted the whole event. There were arrangements of spreading awareness on volunteering works among the mass through distributions of leaflets and sharing words with them in between the middle of the roads. The children really enjoyed the day in ride in tram and also saw Swami Vivekananda’s celebration with other schools participating at Rabindra Sarani.The Young Indian team provided foods and fruits to all the children. The staffs were given T-shirt aswell. Mr. Ashish Junjhunwala, Director of Rashtraudhyog Ltd declared of taking 1000 Hope kids to Zoo in the month of February.
